What we discovered so far

In Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv is the grave of Rozliya Hamershmid (father’s name – Dov), who died on March 14, 1989.

Based on the identity in the name of the father, the location of the cemetery and the proximity between the date of the issuance of the management order for the assets and the date of death, it is likely that this is the grave of Rozliya Hamershmid, who appears in the list of abandoned property owners managed by the general guardian.

On the myheritage website there is information about a woman named Rozliya (Shoshana) Hamershmid, daughter of Rachel and Dov, who was born in 1908. Her husband – Avraham Hamershmid died before her in 1965.

Rozliya and her husband seem to have had 3 children: Sonia Mazar (née Hamershmid) who died in 2008, a son named Shmuel Shamgar and another child whose name is unknown. Sonia’s husband Yaakov Mazar died before her, the couple had one son named – Dan Mazar, who fell during reserve service in 1981.
